Skiing!

The family that goes skiing together, stays together! At least that is what Mark is trying to convince me of as I start to learn this sport. We drove the 450 miles north to Harbour Springs and the Knub's Knob Ski Resort over President's weekend. Mark and Lauren started skiing as youngsters so they have a ton of experience. Janet and Quinten took lessons to learn the ropes. Janet's instructor was "surprised" as she normally teaches kids! She was able to take on a few green slopes independently though the initial drop on the hill made her nervous. Quinten had two lessons which unfortunately did not teach him many skills. Mark put him on the chaser racer and in a short time had him turning and stopping on the bunny hill. He loved it! Our weather was bitterly cold and quite windy. In the end, that was helpful as the crowds were not too large and the lift lines were fairly quick.
